Wilhite - Susan Payton

Susan E. Wilhite, born May 31, 1857 died May 21, 1922 at the
age of 64 years, 11 months, 24 days. Susan E. Payton was united
in marriage to DD Wilhite, Oct 3, 1880. To this union 8 children
were born. They are as follows: Mrs. Sant Moody of Waveland; Mrs.
Villa Neece, Mrs. Lillie Cowan, Charles David, Robert and Roy of
Crawfordsville. Also one daughter who died at the age of 6 years.
Besides the husband and children she is survived by 3 brothers,
Charles Payton of Terre haute, David and Pierce Payton of
Crawfordsville and one sister, Laura Stump of North Union, 14
grandchildre, 8 stepgrandchildren and a host of friends to mourn
her loss. Mrs. Wilhite was a most loving and loyal mother to all
her children and friends. Also an active member of the Salem
Baptist Church, having given her heart to God on the 23rd of
November 1878 and believed in Him until the end. - transcribed by kbz
